Companies regularly face high-stakes supply chain decisions with far-reaching consequences: Where should plants, warehouses, and distribution centers be located? Which products should be held where, and at what service level? How can individual customer segments be served profitably? These questions can't be answered by technology or models alone, they require business understanding, data, model logic, and a decision culture willing to act on analytical insight.
This module is deliberately decision-oriented rather than analytically-technical. Building on Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Analytics & Big Data, it trains you to apply a four-step decision process — Problem → Data → Approach → Decision — consistently across strategic, tactical, and operational planning levels.
Structure: Days 1–2 lay the conceptual foundations (decision types, descriptive-to-prescriptive analytics); Days 3–5 apply the four-step process to practical cases; Day 6 is an integrated case study day, culminating in an executive-style decision recommendation to a management panel.
Taught 50% English / 50% German.
