Englisch

Welcome to English Conversation, dear colleagues whom I already know, and those of you I will get to know. Get ready for a fun ride--our conversations tend to be wide-ranging. Of course I am open to suggestions of all kinds, for, as Lewis Carroll wrote:

"The time has come, the Walrus said/to talk of many things:/ of shoes--and ships--and sealing wax--/ and cabbages and kings."

If we take cabbages to mean nonsense, and kings to mean politics, you may be sure we will have a lively semester.
